Hi! I’m Ingrid.
As a qualified interior designer and serial renovator, I have experienced first hand the power of a well designed space.
I also know from personal experience, that inhabiting a space that does not reflect my values, aesthetics, and desires feels dissatisfying, frustrating, and ultimately sabotaging to my energy. It’s not all unconscious either, interior design has a significant, scientifically proven impact on our well-being, affecting our mood, health, productivity and stress levels.

At around age ten, I recall a paint colour consultant visiting my family home. After she left, two paint colour choices were given to me – pastel pink, or pastel purple – it was nice to have a choice, but both of them filled me with dread. Neither colour felt right for me. My dream bedroom as a ten year old in the 1990s was silver zebra print wallpaper – what a vibe that would have been! But despite my more ‘sensible’ request of a calming blue paint colour, I got a firm no – ‘a boys colour’, was out of the question.
We’ve come a long way in terms of paint colours being less gendered, but many people still default to these ‘safe’, old fashioned, just-incase-we-sell-the-house paint colour choices that don’t really represent anyone, colours that are non-offensive, but ultimately do nothing to support us while we spend time in them.

I’m on a mission to empower people through interior design. Everyone has their own unique response to colour and every room has individual physical factors which impact which colours will bring it to life.
So, tell me. Are you living somewhere that is “nice, but…”
It could be a feeling that you can’t quite put your finger on, but if something feels off, let’s fix that.
